Why Do So Many Barbers Mess Up Haircuts?

One of the most asked questions in my barber shop is, why do so many barbers mess up haircuts? I can give barber shampoos and conditioners to all of them, and they will not have any affect on their messy haircuts.

But I don’t know about you, but when it comes to my customer’s hair, I don’t give them shampoos and conditioners.

If they want to be healthy, beautiful, and have a great looking cut, they are going to do whatever it takes to get those results. I also think that when barbers mess up haircuts, it’s usually because they don’t know any better, or haven’t been taught properly.

When you run a barber shop, there is only so much you can teach a person. You are limited by your knowledge of how the human body works, and what goes into making a good haircut.

It is up to the barber to make decisions based on his experience and knowledge, not based on what has worked for other barbers.

Do Barbers Make Mistakes?

Many barbers make mistakes when it comes to their haircuts. In some cases, the barber may accidentally cut off a client’s hair or even cut it too short.

Many barbers do not know how long a haircut should be so they end up cutting it way too short. In this article, I will show you how many barbers mess up haircuts and how to avoid making the same mistakes.

The first mistake that many barbers make is by giving their customers a messy haircut. Barbers don’t like to get a messy haircut because it makes them look incompetent and untrustworthy.

It can also make their customers to think twice about visiting their barber again if they don’t like the haircut that the barber gave them. When a barber messes up a haircut, he will earn negative feedback from his customers and he will not be able to get the trust of his customers anymore.

Should you tell your barber that he messed up your hair?

This is something that many barbers do to their clients. Although many barbers have been taught to fix their own hair, some still do not understand how to cut a haircut properly.

They have learned the basics and know how to take care of their own hair, but they still have a way to go in making a great haircut. If you have had your hair messed up by a barber, then you should be the first one to let him or her know about it so that they can make the necessary changes to fix it.

You may not think that telling your barber that he messed up your hair is the right thing to do but many barbers do not see the benefit in fixing it themselves. When a barber messes up a client’s hair, he or she is not usually happy with the customer’s reaction.

The client will usually say that it is not his fault and that he should not have done what he did. You should take the initiative to let your barber know that he messed up your hair so that he can make the necessary changes to fix it.

What to Do When Your Barber Messes Up Your Haircut

When your barber messes up your haircut, the first thought that may pop into your head is how can you get it fixed. The question then becomes how many barbers mess up haircuts like yours each day. It also may be a thought of whether you should pay the price for a barber to fix it, or if you can do it yourself.

My personal answer to this would be; you really shouldn’t. Just like a pedicure, many barbershops are equipped with quality professional tools, which means that you don’t have to pay the price of a barber to fix your hair.

My advice? If you are going to go to a barbershop, bring along your clippers, scissors, blow dryer, hair dryer, towels and a magazine. In addition, bring all of your equipment because some barbershops offer complimentary haircuts with purchase of a haircut.

How to Avoid Paying For a Messy Cut?

What would you say if I told you that sometimes, even professional barber shavers need to be fixed? Can you imagine how many times every year someone has to go to a barber for a botched haircut?

What’s worse is that they don’t even have to pay a fortune for a messed up haircut. There are several ways that a botched haircut can be fixed and many barbers don’t know about them.

What exactly is a messed up haircut? Messed up haircuts is when the stylist’s haircut implements is not properly leading to curly/wavy hair or uneven hair line. Poorly implemented cuts can also occur due to faulty hair cutting tools or an inexperienced stylist.

In most cases, it is always the fault of the stylist and not the client since it is the stylist who is inexperienced and makes many mistakes during the process of cutting hair, thus leading to an unprofessional haircut.

How Can You Tell If a Barber Is Inexperienced?

There are many things that can be used as yardsticks to tell if a barber is experienced in his work or not. An inexperienced barber may be known for giving way to the pressure and he may even be known to have rushed on some very important jobs.

You should try talking to some barbers and get their opinions about how they deal with haircuts. They will be able to give you an honest opinion about the quality of their haircut and whether they take pride in their work.

If the barber knows very well about the quality of their own work, then you can be rest assured that they will also be able to give you a good haircut and that they are not likely to mess up your haircut because of pressure.

It is important to use clipper guards when you are getting barber styled. This is because barbers are usually using very sharp clippers and if there are not clipper guards in place, the barber is likely to cut your hair badly and the result would be a messy haircut.

Some barbers like to use disposable razor blades that are not too sharp but for normal hair this will not cause any problems. If you want to get clipper style hairstyles, then always remember to ask your barber to put clipper guards on your hair before styling. This will prevent you from getting a bad haircut and you can be sure that you will look presentable at all times because of it.

Conclusion

Many barbers love to do side burns because they look artistic but this does not mean that they have proper knowledge on how to perform this hairstyle. This is because many people are unaware that side burns are not really suitable for taper cuts.

When you get a side burns with a taper haircut, the burn looks like it is almost touching your ears, which is not a good sight especially if you want to stand out and look good with your new haircut.

Barbers love to do side burns because it is easy to do and they can easily do them in a matter of seconds, but if you are going to do a side burn with a longer hair, then make sure that you ask your barber to do this properly so as not to damage your taper cut.
