Take good care of your nails by caring for them just like a manicure or pedicure day. Pamper your nails to remove all the dirt and dust sticking on to it.
This would not just you healthy nails but will also help the wraps adhere more firmly to your nails. The pampering routine includes:
- Nail Scrub: Scrubbing nails before pampering them helps to get a better care routine. A better scrub aids better manicure and pedicure.
- Nail polish remover: It is important to remove nail polishes from nails if any to prevent greasy and oily surfaces. Nail polishes fade away after a week or so that may weaken the bond of the wraps. Therefore, removing nail polish is important.
- Nail clippers: Clipping the nails to the required size helps use the wraps effectively. It is better to clip the nails before using the wraps. If used after applying the wraps, the wraps can get wasted.
- Cuticle pusher: Cuticle pusher pushes the cuticle skin from the nails to a bit outwards. This helps in easy cutting of the cuticle.
- Cuticle cutter: Cuticle cutter cuts the pushed cuticle and detaches itself from the skin. Removing this helps in easy and strong gluing of the wraps.
- Nail filer: Nail filer files the nails in the required and desired shape. This removes the sharp edge of the skin providing nails a smooth finish.
- Nail buffer: Nail buffers are also used to smoothen the nail. Apart from smoothing the nail surface, nail buffer also helps the nails level from every angle.
- Moisturizer: Moisturize your nails to hydrate them but make sure not to make your nails too oily and greasy. The best is to use a nail cream that contains an adequate amount of moisture and oil.
3 – Find the perfect fit
Use the right size of wrap for your nails. If you cannot find the perfect fit go for a smaller size than a bigger size. A bigger size can make the wraps come in contact with your skin or cuticles that can prevent proper gluing.
4 – Cut the wraps
Cut the correct sized wrap into half. These can be used for both hands. If the wrap strip is too big, it can be cut into small strips and can be utilized for toes. Use a cuticle pusher or an orange stick and avoid using fingers for application of wraps to the fingernail. Place the cut wrap before the heating source for 3 – 5 seconds.
5 – Applying pressure and heating the wraps
After heating, place the wrap onto the fingernail; slightly push the wrap onto the nails. Heat the wrap for a few seconds by placing the fingernail before the heating source for 5 – 7 seconds.
6 – Finish up neat
Cut the excessive looking or peeking wraps from around the nails using nail scissors. Let the wrap cool, file it up along 90 degrees and use a nail buffer to make it look the prettiest.
